Each year on April 23, Turkey commemorates Children’s Day, a day that represents hope for a brighter future. In celebration of the holiday, Apple is embracing the curiosity and creativity of childhood with a new campaign, 'Earth Shot on iPhone by Kids,' shot entirely by Turkish kids ages 8-13.

With this year’s Children’s Day falling only a day after the global celebration of Earth Day, Apple worked with a group of 16 children to capture the beauty of nature throughout Turkey, all shot on iPhone.

The result is stunning imagery of Mother Earth that reminds us of the importance to preserve her splendor for future generations. Using the impressive camera capabilities of the iPhone XS and XR, the children produced professional-grade images, which, when paired with the innate creativity and curiosity of next generation creators, resulted in a diverse landscape of shots. The film is narrated by the children as they share in their own words the inspiration behind each shot, giving a glimpse into the wonder and creativity of childhood that inspired the campaign. Debuting on the Apple Türkiye YouTube channel, the 30-second film will begin airing on broadcast television this week to supplement the collection of OOH images currently adorning the city.

Around the world, Shot on iPhone is currently celebrating the wonders of nature for Earth Day, but in Turkey Apple sought out the perspective of its children, letting them take over the campaign and reminding us of our responsibility to preserve the planet for generations to come.
