Having just undergone a re-brand, production company, Spirit Studios, has not wasted any time in showcasing its creative power with its most recent launch, Digital Detox Day, a campaign for its own mental health movement, #IAMWHOLE.

The Royal Society Of Public Health found social media is more addictive than smoking and alcohol and that using social media for more than two hours per day is associated with poor self-rating of mental health, increased levels of psychological distress and suicidal ideation.

To combat this reality, the cosmetics retailer Lush and Spirit Studios collaborated with influencers Zoe Sugg (founder of Zoella) and Jordan Stephens (Rizzle Kicks) on Digital Detox Day which is aimed to raise awareness about the damaging effects that social media can have on people’s mental health. It even saw the Piccadilly Lights, owned by Landsec at Piccadilly Circus in London, taken over with a message encouraging people to switch off for mental health.

On 5 September (Digital Detox Day), all over the world #IAMWHOLE asked people to step away from their phones for one whole day.
