Betway personifies the notion of 'having a hunch,' in its first campaign since Saatchi & Saatchi won the account in August.

A hunch is a universal inkling that occurs when your gut feeling indicates that something will or should happen.

Most common in sports betting, a hunch encourages betters to stick to their guns when debating a sporting outcome.

In the ad, as two lads sit in a bar, one innocuously teases his friend over the football players he's chosen to bet on, using the Betway app. After he calls him out, his friend responds: "alright special one, you pick them."

We are then transported through the "special ones" pupil to The Hunch's office in his brain, where our charming man sits on a beige leather chair, sharpening his javelin stick.

His office is decked in sports memorabilia, and around him sits a dense network of 'brain cells' researching hard on sports bets. This setting demonstrates how 'The Hunch' occupies a part of every betting punter's brain.

After viewing the lads' conversation, The Hunch takes on the football betting challenge. Needing the name of four football players, to be in with the chance of winning the 100K jackpot, The Hunch throws four javelins at a giant dartboard that contains the names of footballers. After each of the four javelin strikes a name, and we rejoin the original bar scene, where our lead guy makes an assured decision, off the back of his hunch.
