Visit Seattle: Uncharted: Seattle by PB&

A new series from Visit Seattle pairs with the brand’s first ever podcast, 'Uncharted: Seattle.' More than just talking about what to do in the city, this series gives travelers a glimpse of Seattle’s soul and the personalities shaping the character of the city. Understanding how potential travelers crave video – and now audio – content to inspire their decisions throughout their travel planning journey – this series furthers the brand’s entertainment-based content strategy.

Throughout its history, Seattle has always been a force in cultural development across food, music, business, the arts and much, much more. It is a city that fosters people’s motivation to change the future of culture for good. Uncharted: Seattle celebrates the passionate creators who aren’t setting out to create trends but are changing the landscape nevertheless; making Seattle a city to watch along their way.

The video series kicks off with a profile of two-time James Beard Award winning Chef Edouardo Jordan of Salare and Junebaby (named 2018’s Best New Restaurant). The first African American chef to win Best New Restaurant, Edouardo is celebrating the diaspora of Southern cuisine and showing the world how high-brow southern food can be and how low-brow it is as well.

New episodes will launch once a week on VisitSeattle.tv through May and profile other Seattleites who are shaping culture including Melissa Arnot (the only American woman to climb Everest without the use of supplemental oxygen), Alicia Mullikin (a Latina choreographer who is motivating new generations to embrace who they are, step into the spotlight, and expand diversity on the stage), Kristina Glinoga (a female butcher who is spreading the word about virtues of meat sourced from local farmers in order to steward the environment in sustainable ways) and Chong the Nomad (a queer, Asian American, multi- instrumentalist DJ and producer who just loves to make people dance).

The Uncharted: Seattle podcast, hosted by Seattle entrepreneur Linda Derschang, features five other passionate creators from around the city and is available on Apple Podcasts, Stitcher, Soundcloud, Tastemade as well as VisitSeattle.tv.

Uncharted: Seattle This series was produced in collaboration with Tastemade and spearheaded by Visit Seattle’s agency PB&. This is the 3rd series launched by PB& and Visit Seattle this year and the 10th the teams have created together.
