Returning on 19 March, Red Nose Day (RND) has enlisted the help of Dame Judi Dench and Benedict Cumberbatch to help raise money this year.

It is presented by Dench, who asks "what is it to be human? What is it that connects us?". She leads on to discuss how we all have different opinions and dreams.

The first half of the ad is a light hearted take on the classic manifesto film with rousing musical track, but with a twist, as Dench goes on to remind us all that in spite of our differences there is one thing that unites us – a vacuum to Benedict Cumberbatch’s face.

'Funny is Power' confronts the difficulties of the past year, highlighting that while Red Nose Day will be different this year, RND still hopes to bring people together using humour as a force for good.
