Sudocrem, the UK’s number one nappy rash treatment, launches its new festive social media campaign to help promote its wider benefits in healing cuts, scrapes and grazes. From 26 November, ‘Snowball Fight’, the new Facebook application game, will see ‘scrape, graze and nappy rash gremlins’ parachuting into the North Pole to ruin Christmas.

Consumers are incentivised to save Christmas by launching snowballs at them. To do this, they must load the snow onto a trusty slingshot, with the assistance of a helpful elf. Every so often, however, the elf gets injured and cannot the load the slingshot, until the consumer has dragged the Sudocrem tub onto him/her to help heal the cuts or grazes.

‘Snowball Fight’ has been created and executed by digital and social specialist, Orbital Media, using its award-winning gamification technology. In line with the agency’s principles for successful gamification, the game combines entertainment with instant prizes including Sudocrem products or discount coupons as well as main prizes such as Amazon Kindle Fires, Amazon and Mothercare vouchers, and Bubblebum Car Booster Seats.

The game will be promoted via targeted multi-platform social media advertising, including a blend of live video, Facebook and Instagram stories, as well as multiple advertising formats on third party sites, and targeted influencer centric collaborations.
