Country Crock is the brand behind the newly-launched dairy-free, gluten-free plant butter, made with oils of olives, avocados and almonds.
Some people might not know exactly what plant butter is, and why butter lovers should make the switch, so Country Crock has launched a new ad campaign to educate and excite consumers.
To put plant butter to the ultimate test, the brand had to find the ultimate butter expert and critic – they found her nestled in the outskirts of Louisville, Kentucky: Lynn Rupley-Smith, winner of 229 state fair baking championships and pie-extraordinaire for over six decades.
This year, Lynn was challenged to enter the Baking Competition at the Kentucky State Fair with a few of her classic recipes with one stipulation: they had to all be made with Country Crock Plant Butter. The product tastes and bakes just like regular dairy butter, so it’s no surprise that Lynn still won first place in Strawberry Rhubarb Pie, Sweet Potato Casserole and Shoofly Pie – proving even the most loyal butter lovers love Country Crock Plant Butter.
