Dog's Trust has put a spin on its longstanding 'A dog is for life, not just for Christmas' campaign with a funny spot asking people not to buy something very particular this festive season.

Timed to launch with Black Friday, the charity's seasonal film shows people treating Christmas presents like dogs. One man is showing earnestly dragging his Playstation along for a walk while another hopelessly attempts to get her new hairdryer to play catch.

The scene then switches to depict a woman trying to wrap a dog up underneath the Christmas tree, while a voiceover explains:'Christmas presents aren’t dogs. And dogs aren’t Christmas presents. A dog is for life, not just for Christmas'.
