Earlier this month Co-op revealed the roll-out of Europe’s most extensive in-store recycling scheme for soft plastic, plastic bags and product wrapping, where it has pledged to make soft plastic recycling units available at 2,300 shops by November.

Following on from the TV ad earlier this month, it has now launched an out-of-home campaign, devised to remind consumers that they can recycle household soft plastic at the Co-op.

Placed in sites as close as a meter from its competitor supermarkets, the ads tell customers: 'it doesn't matter where you shop, we'll still recycle your soft plastics, like crisp packets and bread bags.'
