Nominated in the innovation category at The Drum's Out of Home Awards, back in 2018 London Advertising commissioned Sir Peter Blake to create his largest ever work of art (the size of 38 double-deckers) to cover Mandarin Oriental Hyde Park during its renovation.

It featured 100 celebrities (including Sir Paul McCartney and Sir Ringo Starr) to mark the 50th anniversary of his iconic Sgt Pepper’s Lonely Hearts Club Band album cover.

To benefit those most negatively impacted by it, London Advertising has arranged for Blake to it up into100 fragments of famous faces, to be auctioned off for Covid-19 charities.

In effect it is the reversal of the collage process which Blake is famous for, resulting in highly impactful 2m tall individual ‘faces’ of some of the most famous names in the world from Paul McCartney to Morgan Freeman.
