The East India Company has opened a flagship store on Edinburgh’s George Street designed by British design studio Kinnersley Kent Design. The first store in Scotland, the flagship will sit alongside existing branches in Greater London, Kent and the Middle East, offering the brand’s premium fine foods range as well as its new ‘Home’ range. Working with Kinnersley Kent Design, the Scottish store features several unique elements, both decorative and narrative, referring to the company’s historic activities in Scotland. Kinnersley Kent Design’s work spans branding, graphics and packaging as well as future concepts, to be unveiled at a later stage.
