A new creative campaign from Jack Link’s Protein Snacks, 'The Original Protein' was developed based on the insight that Jack Link’s Jerky is made from the same original protein that fueled our ancestors – lean meat.
This new creative brings humor to the history of protein while also illustrating the longevity and stability of meat as the superior protein throughout the years with the underlying concept that “If it worked way back then to fuel the course of history, it can definitely help us power through the typical day, today.”
The campaign sees moments in history as if they were fueled by meat. A pyramid worker in ancient Egypt takes a bite of jerkey to pull his stones up a plane. Mongol soldiers choose meat over yogurt, a Viking rower pulls the boat herself powered by meat, and a Trojan Horse full of soldiers throws out the guy making smoothies rather than meat. All have the brand's Sasquatch urging them on.
