21 March is World´s Down Syndrome Day and due social distancing protocols around the world agency Hoy came up with a pizza-themed idea.
Many still refer to people with Down syndrome as "special." However, there is a phrase that serves both to break down prejudice and educate: "Special are pizzas." Starting on 18 March, ASDRA, Changing the Look Association and PedidosYa (a well-known delivery app in LatAm) invited everyone to break the mold.
Under the slogan "Stay Home and ask for a special", for every pizza ordered through the PedidosYa app on 21 March, the company will be donating $50 to ASDRA and Changing the Look Association with the aim of feeding inclusion and demonstrating that "the only special thing is a pizza".
“We want to give visibility to the importance of inclusion in all sectors of population and help raise awareness, from our place. We have tools to reach our users in a different way, and we like to be able to accompany them to ASDRA and Changing the Look Associations, that are making a huge work”, PedidosYa said.
