In the city that never sleeps, Con Edison is looking to start an energy efficiency movement to raise awareness and educate New Yorkers about the power they have to make the energy of New York sustainable for the future.

Titled 'The Energy of New York,' the campaign features the diverse people and places that make up New York, empowering them to make changes to their energy habits so we can all live in cleaner, greener city.

The 360-campaign kicks off with Con Edison's first ever TV spot. In addition to TV, Con Edison will be calling people to action at some of the highest energy stations and places in the city, like Union Square, Fulton St, Bedford Ave and Lex/53rd St.

Consumers might be skeptical of seeing ads from their utility company asking them to save energy, but it’s something Con Edison has been championing for years. Some quick facts at how the company is committed to helping its customers become more energy efficient include: in the last year Con Ed has distributed 2.5 million LED bulbs. Energy savings from these upgrades would be enough to power nearly 10,000 homes for a year; and the company helped New Yorkers install 80,000 smart devices in their homes, with every upgrade the whole city becomes more energy efficient.
