Droga5 has rolled out a funny campaign for Clearasil called "We know acne, we don't know teens" that taps into the insight that "being an expert in teen skin doesn't mean being an expert in teen-ness." The videos poke fun at marketers and their attempts to connect with teens that often miss the mark. According to Droga5, Clearasil wanted to create a campaign that would build real trust with teenagers. Instead of pretending like the brand understands what teens are into, it decided to take an honest and comedic appoach by "going where few brands are willing to go: admitting that they don't know how to be cool to teens."
