With Jon Gruden now back in the coaching hotseat with the Raiders, Corona Extra has decided to draft former Dallas quarterback and current football analyst Tony Romo as the operator and face of its Corona Hotline, which returns for its second year this football season.

Featuring a new number that is not operator-specific, 1-844-9-Corona, fans can call the Corona Hotline all season long to tap into Romo’s powers of prediction, hear gameday reflections and enter for a chance to win prizes such as Corona gear or poolside seats in Las Vegas for the Big Game.

In a series of spots, Romo is at a beachside desk, taking calls from fans. In the introductory spot, Romo answers the Corona branded phone and says knowingly, “no, he doesn’t work here anymore,” before doling out guacamole advice.

In another, he tells a distraught fantasy footballer that he needs to grab a Corona, calm down and just watch the game without thinking about fantasy points. Two others, which will roll out throughout the season, have Romo in similar situations, telling people in sticky situations that essentially, a Corona will help solve their various football-activity-related problems.
