United States history too often notes the achievements of men and overlooks those of women. CNN’s brand studio Courageous Studios and Hulu are teaming up to help right that wrong, present a statue installation to bring attention to Women’s Equality Day.

‘Shape the Future’ statue installations will go up Monday, 26 August in Atlanta, Boston and San Francisco, to coincide with Women’s Equality Day, which commemorates the adoption of the 19th amendment to the US constitution guaranteeing all women in the US the right to vote.

In each of these cities, there is a huge disparity in the number of statues honoring men and women throughout history, and this activation seeks to spotlight how women’s contributions in history are left uncelebrated.

The activation will feature an equal number of male and female statues in each city to commemorate the accomplishments of women in our history. The statues are mirrored and set at different angles, so people can see themselves in these representations, as well as see others from assorted perspectives.
