Seeing a bearded man in a pink satin jacket and pony tails is a disturbing enough image, but when viewers learn it’s to get his daughter good enough grades to go to Burger King, it’s perhaps more disturbing.

That’s the concept behind Burger King France’s latest ad. In it, we see a man dressed like a nine-year-old girl – complete with pink jacket, blue skirt, sequined tee and pony tails – walking the halls of an elementary school with serious swagger. He enters a classroom filled with young students, then proceeds to ace a test, presumably as a class member. It’s then that we realize that he was doing it for his daughter, as he gets into his car with her in the passenger seat and gives a proud high five. In a flashback, we see the daughter’s mother telling her that if she gets good grades, her father will take her to Burger King.

The ad, titled ‘The Little Girl,’ is a promo for the Burger King France Kool King menu that appeals to 8-12-year-olds. The film, directed by Vincent Lobelle (Iconoclast) is set to air on TV with 20- and 30-second formats. It was produced by agency Buzzman
