UNHCR: Home by Black Sheep
- Location:
Black Sheep Studios, BBH London’s in-house production unit, Somesuch, and DokuFest, the Kosovan film festival, have formed a unique collaboration to co-produce a powerful 20-minute short film to address the current refugee crisis.
The film is supported by UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, and will screen in Picturehouse cinemas nationwide from Monday 20th June 2016. Starring Jack O'Connell and Holliday Grainger, HOME was shot in three countries - the UK, Kosovo and Albania.
As thousands of men, women and children attempt to get into Europe, the film sees a comfortable English family experience a life changing journey of their own. The film presents a less common route of using an entertainment format to communicate a message, rather than a traditional commercial format.
The ambition of the 20-minute film is to address the current refugee crisis and help drive global awareness to support UNHCR’s World Refugee Day.
