To celebrate the 30th Anniversary of Shark Week, Discovery partnered with creative agency Berlin Cameron’s experiential arm, BCXP to show up in a big way.

Shark Week has long been a celebrated summer trending topic, making online and social media a jaws-dropping treat for viewers. Discovery took over Central Plaza at the Santa Monica Pier to open the Discovery Channel Shark Park – transforming the space into a multi-day shark-inspired social media feeding frenzy. The installations, which represented different shark species, were all created from upcycled and recyclable materials that are often found washed ashore on beaches. The materials added to the visual interest of the shark sculptures and raised awareness about keeping the earth’s oceans clean and home to sharks around the world.
