Tesco has today (28 July) announced itself to be the first retailer to cover the VAT cost of shoppers’ sanitary products via an instore and social campaign from BBH London.

The agency was brought on board to create a vox-poppy social video promoting news and an in-store campaign. The former sees a spokesperson out on the streets chatting to women about the tampon tax, before revealing Tesco’s plans to them.

The 30-second film will be supported by the wordy hashtag #TescoTamponTaxOff.
