So, can you help us get there?

Working as part of the experienced and motivated sales team based in our London office you’ll be responsible for a small team, building and developing effective, strong relationships with key accounts both existing and new business for either Network Agencies or Media Owners.

Your key responsibility will be to deliver your individual and team’s budgeted revenue targets. To build and develop strong, long term business relations with existing Key Accounts whilst canvassing new business, to sell the benefits of your products relevant to your customer group in order to achieve your individual KPI’s and revenue targets. You will be a competent negotiator, proposal writer and presenter with the ability to close high level deals at CEO/CMO level, demonstrating expertise in questioning effectively and matching the benefits of our products to your customer’s business needs.

A bit about yourself:

  • Minimum 3 years’ experience preferred, in a sales role within a media, publishing or digital environment
  • Some experience of managing a small team would be beneficial
  • Strong commercial experience in a digital arena, being able to sell online packages, great client facing skills with the tangible experience of achieving targets is a must.
  • A strong team player with a proven track record of achieving and exceeding sales revenues
  • Experience in creating cross-portfolio marketing solutions
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
  • Able to demonstrate unaided problem solving and decision making
  • Exceptional attention to detail and great organisational skills
  • A passion for sales
  • Strong negotiating and influencing skills
  • Fluent in Microsoft Office applications
  • Self-motivated and driven
  • Strong numeracy and literacy
  • Ability to analyse and draw conclusions from data
  • Ability to generate new business

Experience of digital / online marketing is a must preferably being able to demonstrate integrated campaigns including digital, brand, and social media, live events and print. The Drum is a multi-platform brand so you must be comfortable selling across all of these areas

You will have the ability to manage multiple projects at any one time. Ensure activity you define and deliver to clients is appropriate to their market, measurable and impactful in terms of ROI, and adopts technology in a suitable and innovative fashion.

As well as a proven track record in a similar role, your soft skills are also important. We’re looking for someone who loves to drive business forward, you should be keen to take full ownership of your accounts and proactively look for opportunities to grow these. You’ll be hungry and enthusiastic when it comes to your career, and looking for a company which at this stage can support you in pushing forward in a busy and responsible role. Due to the nature of our business you do need to expect to travel on occasion and you need to be comfortable working in a fast moving, dynamic environment.
