No matter where we are, journalists and proprietors no longer control the flow of information that the public gets (and maybe occasionally wants).
The only ways forward are:
1. Good quality investigative journalism
2. Good quality features (that go beyond celebrity and lifestyle)
3. Good editorship acting to collect third-party items and present them well
Freedom to publish digitally (for as long as that lasts) allows great photography, video clips, text and sound podcasts. Being prepared to use any and all of these formats, we can concentrate on producing content that matters.
