Copycat packaging: plain plagiarism or valid competition?

If it is a product like bleach that lives under the sink then consumer is less loyal and may be more susceptible to taking a cheaper substitute. If it is a Scotch Malt Whisky that will sit on the dinner table at the end of the meal, then less so. As a consumer too I am shocked at the premium price difference that some brands charge, meanwhile the supermarket wins both ways with high mark ups and the ability to offer a perceived saving. So it will not end.

High cost of agency fees brings the rise of the freelancer for small Scottish businesses

High cost of agency fees brings the rise of the freelancer for small Scottish businesses

Some freelancers are absolute stars and have the skills and experience to deliver a good service.

The other side of the coin is that some are not very good at all. Some have delivered a solution to an unwitting client that is actually a handicap to their business and tantamount to ‘unbranding'. So chose wisely and be very careful of those rated/approved designer websites which are merely lead generation operations selling potential clients on as a contact lead to 3-6 unvetted unrated designers.

Great to see Freelancer.co.uk helping out Scottish freelancer design professional with project fees of $30. Real champions of the industry, not.

Rangers keep quiet on rumours that former Daily Record sports editor Jim Traynor is set to become the club's head of marketing and PR

Rangers keep quiet on rumours that former Daily Record sports editor Jim Traynor is set to become the club's head of marketing and PR

Head of Press Propaganda might the best job title for this sports journalist. Rangers problems are not footballing ones (for the most part), but more business news with an awful public image and a vital share issue ahead I'd suggest they need a different type of Journalist than Mr Traynor. He might get a shock when he leaves the dominant position of his current Daily Record role behind

As for 'head of Marketing' don't get me started....
