Why modernise the definition of PR? PRSA chair Corbett explains

Here's an interesting column by Washington, D.C., PR counselor John Doyle in which he says PR today is still laboring under the definition of PR put forth by Edward Bernays nearly 100 years ago. It's titled "Hold the Bernays." --Jack O'Dwyer http://bit.ly/wm7GU9

Why modernise the definition of PR? PRSA chair Corbett explains

PR has an image problem as indicated by the New York Times column of David Carr Jan. 29 in which he defined it as "slop." He also said that reporters have to work their way past "underlings" to reach PR people and deal with written statements that "say nothing." PRSA must answer this barrage rather than working on a new definition. http://odwpr.us/yqc5Lc Signed: Jack O'Dwyer, New York
