"Marketing is dead" says Saatchi & Saatchi CEO

Thought provoking, although of course he was trying to create a reaction. But some things to think about. I think the pace of change and need to execute across many platforms though means your strategy has to be tighter than ever, and also you need a big idea thought that is specific enough but open to varied execution across different media and platforms: but adds up to make a whole that is bigger than sum of the parts.
