Folksy appoints Ladbury PR to promote collection in run up to Christmas

Your candidly spoken-about definititon didn't take into account the many thousands of items that you turned a blind eye to while you built up the funds to get you to this stage though, did it?

You may have been better thought of if you had given those that had paid you in good faith the entire duration of their listing, rather than a third of that time. Also, having discarded a bunch of the people who got you to where you are now, you might want to actually enforce your joke vision with the hundreds of new listings since the 'clarification' that fail to meet your criteria. Or are the listing fees paying for your PR company?

Finally (because it's boring now), how about those publicly available forums - don't you think that the statement above might have a bit more credibility if forum posts publicly stating their disatisfaction with your ways and means were not deleted, if you weren't suspending accounts of those that dare to use their voice against you?

Any family looks happy if the loudmouth black sheep is locked in the attic. Doesn't mean all is well round the dinner table.

"no one gives our crafts designers a better platform than Folksy"…

Try telling that to the hundreds of sellers that have been informed, in the run up to Christmas, (conveniently just before the relaunch), that the handmade items they have paid to list on Folksy, in a lot of cases for years, no longer suit the company's 'vision' of what the site will be.

Still, nice to know that all the listing fees and percentages of the selling fees have added up enough to pay for a PR company - nice that the sellers who have been dismissed have been able in some small way to contribute to the fortunes of those that are allowed (for now, until the goalposts change again) to stay.

Merry Christmas to all those sellers that have been insulted, disenfranchised, and outcast. Hope you manage to be appreciated elsewhere, "just in time for Christmas".

To Folksy - hope your PR firm is good, because god knows you need it.
