Nice one Emma, couldn't agree more and especially your point on "creative ideas". Personally I don't care where the creativity come from... male, female, young person, old person or maybe the cleaner (of which we have both sexes!). However, often the greater difficulty is in getting other people to recognise the potential of creative ideas and then buy into them. Regarding working hours, once again the overtime culture should be called "waste-of-time culture". In fact when we started the company over 10 years ago we said we wouldn't have working hours, we'd just have jobs/projects that needed doing within given deadlines. As for education and role models for children (and adults!) that's just one crazy cultural dilemma. I've seen too many people in educational roles who are simply those who can't get a decent job in their chosen private sector (caveat... there are also some wonderful teachers/lecturers out their!) And the number of supposed celebrity role models that we all have it's not surprising things are in such a mess. Sexism does exist, along with racism, ageism and many other ism's that really shouldn't be out there, but probably always will be to some extent. As you say complaining doesn't really help and the best way through is to accept what we are, what we have, and do our best although sometimes that can be easier said than done. Which frankly was the reason I wrote my outrageously ranting response to Gail's article, anyone who took it literally or offensively just wasn't getting it! Anyway, good luck and take care! Alan
Who give a flying ****? As someone has already said more fool the bigger agencies who went chasing £5k,s worth of Corporate ID work! If that's all they value a new identity at then they deserve what they get... and who knows it might even be good.
C'mon they're Welsh, what do you expect!
