Burger King Japan has again pushed the boundaries of fast food aesthetics, this time releasing a jarringly red 'Aka' burger range.

After last year unveiling a completely blackened burger, dyed with squid ink, the fast-food chain looks to turn heads with its ‘Aka Samurai Chicken’ and ‘Aka Samurai Beef’ ranges.

The Akas, which come with buns, cheese and Miso hot sauce are altered with powdered tomato extract.

They will retail only in Japan for a limited time with the Aka Samurai Beef burger available for ¥690 (£3.50).
