Twitter reacts to Naomi Campbell’s 'Congratulations malaria' typo
‘Malaria’ began trending in London this morning following a well-intentioned tweet from supermodel Naomi Campbell congratulating Nobel Prize winner Malala Yousafzai.
No doubt the result of autocorrect, Yousafzai was mistakenly referred to as ‘malaria’.
The message was also followed by the hashtag #noblepeaceprize2014 which spurred more Twitter users to point out that it should in fact be ‘nobel’.
Congratulations malaria on your #noblepeaceprize #2014 #Respect #joy #ithalljuststarted ❤️ http://t.co/jbO8UgEVlT

Does @NaomiCampbell really have that bad friends that no one's called her about deleting her Malala/Malaria tweets? — BRNDN XO (@BjornSay) October 11, 2014
And then Naomi Campbell mistakenly called Malala "Malaria", she should sue #Autocorrect developer
