Betfair gave ATM users in Tooting a surprise with over £10,000 given away in A Super Rich Cash Machine, as a promotion of new betting product ‘Price Rush’.

The “malfunctioning” ATM gave away money without asking for a PIN number or taking any details from customers’ cards, leading users to tweet their surprise.

Betfair brand product manager Andy Holmes, said: “The odds on getting more money than you expected at a cash machine are pretty slim but our Super Rich Cash Machines Price Rushed transactions, giving some users much more money than they requested. For anyone visiting the Super Rich Cash Machines Tooting Branch today, they may be in for the same experience…”

Price Rush is an anagram of ‘Super Rich’ and is a new feature on their Sportsbook, which can give customers better odds than they bargained for by taking each bet a customer places on the Sportsbook and checking to see if there are bigger odds on the Exchange at that time.
