Crazy singer CeeLo Green deletes Twitter account after suggesting it’s not rape if a woman is passed out
CeeLo Green, the singer of Crazy, has deleted his Twitter account after he caused a storm by suggesting it is only rape if the woman is awake to object.
"If someone is passed out they're not even WITH you consciously! so WITH Implies consent,” the singer tweeted after no rape charges were filed against him due to lack of evidence.
He pleaded no contest to supplying ecstasy to a woman, and claimed that he had consensual sex with her, despite her saying she has no memory of the event.
Another tweet by Green said that woman “who have really been raped” remember the event.
Before deleting his account, he said the remarks were “taken so far out of context.
He added: "I only intended on a healthy exchange to help heal those who love me from the pain I had already caused from this.”

And if you doesn't remember, then it can't be rape. It's only rape if the memory sears into your brain. @CeeLoGreen pic.twitter.com/sMl4OWQJ98 — Ms Elyse MoFo Andery (@dELYSEious) August 31, 2014
