US firm Burnt Impressions has created an innovative toaster which can burn a customisable selfie into a slice of bread.

Those who think selfies are their bread and butter should send a high resolution photograph to the Vermont-based group. They will use the image to rig the toaster to burn your likeness into your morning snack.

From the point they receive the image the group boasts that you could be eating your own face in within a week.

The Burnt Impressions website states: “If we squint and can’t see your face, we will cancel the order and refund your purchase.”

Galen Dively, company president of Burnt Impressions, said: “You don’t have to be famous or Jesus to have your face on toast.

“We finally acquired the machinery needed to make toaster selfie happen and our staff has been perfecting the process of transforming art and photographs into our CAD program for use with the CNC plasma cutter.”

He added: “All work is done at the company's warehouse in Vermont.”

The company, which has also has created toasters with Jesus and Rapture themes, sell the aplliances for $75 from the Burnt Impressions website – but they can also be bought with Bitcoins.
