The Drum's annual Scottish Design Awards recognise the talent and innovation within the Scottish design and architecture industries.

This year Suisse took home the design Grand Prix for its work with Scottish Maritime Museum, whist Edinburgh based firm Reiach and Hall Architects scooped the architecture Grand Prix for The Bannockburn Visitors Centre.

The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service received a special honorary award at last night's ceremony for saving the majority of Glasgow School of Art's Mackintosh building and its contents from destruction following a fire in late May.

The awards took place at Glasgow's Radisson Blue hotel, here we take a look at some of the best pictures from the night.

A full list of this year's winners can be found here.

Everyone knows that design rules

And it just wouldn't be the Scottish Design Awards without a kilt or two

In typical Scottish fashion you lot got stuck in to the champers nice and early

But everyone was in high spirits

Especially the winners

May the force be with you

The celebrations eventually moved on to the dancefloor

Where some of you wanted to closely examine the design concept of the floor

And when it all got too much it was time to recuperate on the balcony

But it's a long walk home when you've got all those awards to carry
