Down with King Joffrey! Campaign by DDB in Auckland uses tweets to pull down statue of Joffrey
Keeping it spoiler free for those who haven’t seen the first three episodes of Game of Thrones season four yet, but Joffrey is a nasty piece of work.
Making his ex-fiancee look at people's heads on spikes, shooting women with arrows and ordering family pets killed: he's not likely to win a Nobel Peace Prize.
As the series began, DDB in Auckland created a campaign which saw those who opposed the King (a result of incest and therefore not technically King anyway…) able to tweet using hashtag #BringDownTheKing in order to smash a statue of Joffrey.
The statue of the great man stood in a town square in New Zealand before its demise.
