Heinz responds to comment by Metro reader in ad promoting joys of salad cream

Yesterday, Metro reader Graham from Kent sent a text to the free newspaper bemoaning that he liked salad cream, but hated salad. Heinz turned around an advert for today’s Metro, explaining all the things he could use the product on.

Created by AMV BBDO and planned through Vizeum, the ad links into the playful tone of voice of Heinz’s ‘Bring on the Zing’ salad cream campaign, as the brand looks to attract a younger audience.

The response was placed in today’s Metro opposite the ‘Send us your text’ column.

Brands such as Specsavers, Oreo and Virgin Holidays have been praised in the past for quick turnaround with adverts.
