Sick of royal baby news? The Guardian installs a ‘republican’ button to make royal news disappear
If you have a keen eye on the news, you may have heard that Kate and William are expecting a baby…and that she has gone into labour.
While some people are celebrating the news (see, erm, every single newspaper, TV channel and Twitter) others are not too chuffed that their Monday morning has been taken over by a woman in labour.
With this in mind, the Guardian has unveiled a ‘republican’ button that makes all the royal baby updates in the top right corner of the screen disappear. Wondering if we will have a future king or queen? The ‘royalist’ button makes it all appear again.
