The Sun sends Twitter into a frenzy with royal baby look-alike prank
The world's media has been patiently waiting for the birth of the royal baby for a week, but The Sun decided to entertain itself with a prank that had Twitter awash with excitement that Kate might finally have gone into labour. This evening, 19 July, The Sun sent Prince William and Kate Middleton look-alikes to the Lindo Wing of St. Mary's Hospital, where Kate is expected to give birth. Just as the journalists and observers who had been camping out at the hospital perked up, they seen ‘Kate and William’ were actually wearing t-shirts emblazoned with The Sun’s logo, promoting its Livestream coverage of the event.
