Fake Queen visits the hospital and places bet on Royal Baby with Coral
Coral, the bookmakers, surprised members of the press and those eagerly awaiting the royal baby when the ‘Queen’ pulled up in a limo outside Lindo’s ward of St Mary’s Hospital today.
The spoof Queen, played by lookalike actress Elizabeth Richard, also popped into a Central London betting shop for a cheeky flutter on the royal baby.
With over £1m being gambled nationwide on the baby, which Coral describes as ‘one of the biggest novelty betting events in British history’, the suggestion from the bookmakers is that the child will a girl, weighing 7lbs and named Alexandra.
