As part of its #nojoke Twitter campaign, developed by Jam, Tesco Mobile sent a lighthearted tweet back to @LiyahSummers.
This reply led to over 4,000 retweets on the first day, and has had another 4,000 since.
To build on this goodwill, Tesco Mobile has now sent Summers a free phone and £40 of credit. She has since changed her Twitter name to Tesco Girl.
