BIMA uses internet memes as inspiration for this year's BIMA Awards marketing campaign
Young British Interactive Media Association (BIMA) creatives Rob Greaves and Sam Daly have designed a marketing campaign for this year’s BIMA Awards based on internet memes.
Overseen by David Gamble at Hometown London, who sent the brief out to a number of young creative teams, Greaves and Daly used the popular ‘cat-bread’ and ‘planking’ memes as the inspiration behind the creative.
The campaign’s message – ‘There are two paths to digital success – start an internet meme or enter the BIMA Awards’ – reminds agencies and brands to submit their entries before the extended and final deadline, Friday 5 July.
This year’s awards cover 20 categories including digital disciplines such as Tablet, User Experience, and Integrated Campaign as well as sectors including Business to Business and Leisure & Culture, with entries to be made via the BIMA website.
