MINI Mexico warns of dangers of doing make-up when driving in prank, as over 1,000 lipsticks are destroyed a year
MINI Mexico has carried out a prank to raise awareness of the fact that it is dangerous for women to do their make-up when they are driving.
The campaign is based on the stats that 60 per cent of women wear make-up to work, and that 22 per cent of car accidents in Mexico are caused by women drivers (yup, 78 per cent are caused by men, but they don’t tend to put on make-up when driving so it wouldn’t be so fun to focus on them).
To highlight the shocking statistic that over 1,000 lipsticks are destroyed each year, MINI Mexico decided to give females a fright when they are applying their make-up in a public bathroom: by having the soap dispenser ‘explode’ with an airbag.
The airbag read: ‘There’s a place for everything. Makeup or drive’.
