One Direction to open first UK-based pop-up 1D World store in Leeds
One Direction are to open their first pop-up shop in the UK in Leeds city centre following the success of the 1D World chain in New York, Sydney, Brisbane, Toronto, Vancouver, Chicago and Stockholm.
Based in the Trinity Leeds Shopping Centre the store, which opens on Saturday 23 March, will stock life-size cardboard cut-outs of the band, t-shirts, calendars, posters, accessories and a range of 1D Onesies.
To increase its appeal to the bands fans special offers and competitions will also be run in-store.
“With a floor space of over 5,000 square feet, 1D World Leeds promises to be the ultimate meeting place for all 1D fans in Yorkshire, the North West and beyond. The store will be open for three weeks only; during this time fans can expect exclusive competitions, offers and merch bundles – everything a fan of Louis, Niall, Liam, Zayn and Harry could want,” commented a spokesman for the band.
