Last Pub Standing

Our challenge was to help turn a long abandoned listed building in one of the less salubrious parts of Norwich city centre into a successful gastro pub, a challenge compounded by the ownership team having no previous publican experience. Once an area with dozens of hostelries, we thought it apt to name ours The Last Pub  Standing and highlight the area’s history through a series of stories and distinct graphic elements that continue throughout the pub’s interior.

The focus of our campaign was very much on the history of the listed building itself and the street it’s located on. A forgotten corner of the city centre, we created a set of 19 stories that explore the various legends, myths and truths surrounding the area. Designed to work in both print and digital, each story has a very distinctive graphic element that gives the campaign real visual standout and a unique identity of its own.
