Brief

Harvest ran the digital marketing for David Bowie: Fame, Fashion, Photography, a not-for-profit pop-up exhibition of unseen David Bowie images to raise funds for Cancer Research UK. We needed to generate buzz around the exhibition through social media channels. Buzz needed to translate into footfall for the exhibition, as well as money raised for Cancer Research UK.

 

Solution

We created a social media strategy tailored towards building a large and engaged audience of UK-based Bowie fans. Our teaser campaign of exclusive images and videos helped secure national press and radio coverage. Our partnership with illustrator Helen Green allowed us to tap into a passionate and active community of Bowie fans.

 

Results

When the campaign finished, we had driven 10,000 visitors to Cancer Research UK, sold 3,300 tickets via. EventBrite, and raised over £2,400 through catalogue sales.
