Phone-hacking trial: Judge asks jurors to 'stay healthy' as proceedings delayed by illness

By James Doleman

Deliberations at the trial of Rebekah Brooks, Andy Coulson and five others were postponed today due to one of the jurors being unwell. The presiding judge, Mr Justice Saunders, told the court that the illness was not serious and he fully expected that the jury member concerned would be fit to resume their considerations on Monday morning.

Saunders reminded the jury that they should not discuss the case with anyone over the weekend and before discharging them asked the remaining nine to "please stay healthy".

Court then adjourned for the day.

All of the defendants deny all of the charges.

The trial continues.
