Scotland's leading councils and third sector organisations are set to learn from frontline experts about how digital can drive public satisfaction with their services at a special event this week.

Speaker: Chris Yiu

Scottish Public Sector and Digital Technology: Joining up public services with the digital public will see renowned speakers from the likes of the SCVO, The Scottish Government, City of Edinburgh Council and The Wheatley Group talk alongside industry experts from companies like Storm ID and Orthic Consulting on how digital should be used in the day and age.

Attendees are expected from the likes of the NHS, Shelter Scotland, University of Edinburgh, Perth & Kinross Council, St Andrews University, North and South Lanarkshire Councils.

Jane Wilson from organisers MacKay Hannah said: "The world of digital is fast evolving and ever changing. There are a great many opportunities for Scotland's public service deliverers to get better connected and provide instant services at lower costs.

"In 2014 most people want to engage digitally so it's going to be great to see the advice being shared at this event and those who attend should come away with an understanding of where things are at the current time."

The event speakers include Chris Yiu, Stephen Whitelaw, Claudette Jones, Robbie Parrish, Craig Turpie, Evelyn McDowall and others with Oracle Scotland's Caroline Stuart chairing.

Tickets can still be booked for this event, being held at the Oracle campus in Linlithgow on Wednesday. The event will also have a hashtag for online participation at #psdigital.
