Welcome to Award Winning Stories, a regular video series exploring the stories behind some of the winning work from The Drum Awards.

In an effort to bridge the gender-gap that existed within cycling, Skoda UK enlisted its agency Ogilvy London to devise a campaign that would develop a community of women cyclists and grow the potential of the sport.

Discussing the creation and the success of the resulting #thisisourtime campaign, which would go on to win at The Drum Awards for Social Media in the Most Effective Use of Group or Community category, are Jai Kotecha, managing partner, head of social and content and Briony Chappell, senior creative at Ogilvy UK.

Watch above as the pair share the brief and the work that formed a new group of potential athletes and has helped Skoda UK build its brand following among those who got involved.

Entires to The Drum Awards for Social Media are open until 10 September.
