This week has seen another wave of appointments and departures at brands, media owners and agencies. The Drum has rounded up the key moves from the EMEA, APAC and North America regions below.

EMEA people are on the move

Terry Savage, the long-standing chairman of the Cannes Lions International Festival of Creativity, is set to depart the organisation following the 2018 event.

Brian Cooper has joined Aesop as executive creative director. Joining from Oliver Group, where he held the position of chief creative officer, Cooper will work closely with the founders Roger Hart, Ed Woodcock and Jim Paterson.

Chi & Partners have bolstered their creative team by hiring Jo Griffin and Tom Dixon. The duo are joining from a rival agency, WCRS, where they created the award-winning campaign Missing Type for NHS Blood and Transplant.

Cheil London has promoted Russel Schaller to executive creative director after joining last year. Previously he held the creative director role at Havas London and still holds the position of mentor and speaker at The School of Communication Arts in London.

Charlie Crawford has stepped down from his position of director at MediaCom Edinburgh to join a new arm of creative house Frame as managing director of Frame Media.

Freemanxp has welcomed Dina Green as managing director of the agency team in EMEA. Green joins from Jack Morton Worldwide where she held the vice president, business director role, leading the operations, creative and strategy teams.

Dentsu Aegis Network agency iProspectUK has promoted Jack Swayne to the role of managing director. He replaces Felicity Long, who a spokesperson said has moved to another role within the Dentsu Aegis Network. Swayne previously served as chief strategy officer at iPropsect UK. In his new role, he will be responsible for developing and implementing business solutions for the agency’s clients.

APAC people on the move

Bima is to seek a new managing director as its first, Bridget Beale, will move back to New Zealand next year. The Drum understands that a new managing director is targeted to be in place by the end of March, with Beale finishing mid-February.

LA-based agency Battery has hired Mike Parseghian as head of brand and Becky Ginos as associate creative director (ACD). Parseghian will be part of Battery’s executive leadership team, responsible for taking a lead role in new business and overseeing clients including AECOM, Netflix and Mike’s Hard Lemonade. He joins the agency from 72andSunny. Ginos will work across all agency clients as ACD.

The Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) announced that Patrick Dolan, the trade group’s executive vice president and chief operating officer, has been promoted to president of the digital media and marketing organization. Dolan, who joined IAB in 2007 as chief financial officer, will now oversee all P&L for IAB, while providing strategic guidance for the entire organization. IAB also announced that Anna Bager has been named executive vice president of industry initiatives. Dolan and Bager will report directly to IAB chief executive officer Randall Rothenberg.

Peru-based FCB Mayo announced that it has appointed Jorgelina Díaz as its new general creative director. In her new role, Díaz will become Peru’s first woman to lead a creative network agency.

Droga5 announced that Maximilian Kislevitz has joined the New York headquarters as head of business development to continue driving growth across the agency with new and existing clients. Kislevitz joins Droga5 with more than 10 years of experience, most recently as head of brand at Battery,

The Martin Agency has announced Kristen Cavallo as the Interpublic Group (IPG) agency's chief executive officer with immediate effect, taking over for Matt Williams. Previously chief strategy and growth officer for MullenLowe, Cavallo entered her role as The Martin Agency is still working through the fallout from the exit of former chief creative officer Joe Alexander .

Pandora has appointed Aimée Lapic to the chief marketer role to help lead data-driven marketing programs that accelerate listener growth and elevate the Pandora brand.

CP+B London has appointed Helen James to the role of managing director, while Dan Watts joins the agency as chief creative officer.

McGarryBowen US president Simon Pearce made the announcement of WPP veteran Angela Johnson to the role of New York president, which had been vacant for over two years.

Grey Group global chief Michael Houston has announced the hiring of Dan Bennett to the newly made position of chief innovation officer.
