IPG Mediabrands has announced the launch of Pasar Media, a one-stop-shop for all media buys to help SMEs.

The innovative platform, which was created by the Interpublic-owned media company and Ansible, its mobile and technology arm, provides an easy-to-use online platform for advertisers to buy media space.

The platform also provides quick access to all media options and ancillary services, with an aim to provide fast and efficient real-time booking, and support the advertising needs of the local SME.

“The time is ripe for a service such as this, especially for the SME market. Advertisers are able to take advantage of our special rates and discounts with media owners which we pass on to the advertiser,” said Bala Pomaleh, chief executive of IPG Mediabrands.

“Meaning the cost of buying media becomes extremely affordable, which is a typical barrier to entry for most SMEs when they are looking at advertising options.”

The first phase of the launch sees the print partners on board, with New Straits Times Press (Harian Metro, Berita Harian & NST), Sin Chew & Malaysia SME as partners and the platform will provide SMEs with a wide variety of options.

The next phase will see TV, radio, out-of-home and digital media options follow suit to provide a full service of all media options.

The agency claimed the platform offers straightforward views on what is required from the advertiser, from the point of selection of media options, to booking and execution, supporting SMEs end-to-end with artwork creation guidelines that makes the process simple and supports users through the media buy journey.
